Enersens is expanding the Skogar® product family with two new grades designed for the most demanding thermal environments in aircraft, space, and defense.
Skogar® VHT — silica fiber substrate, rated up to 1400 °C, available in 2.0 and 3.0 mm semi-rigid sheets. Built for high-temperature aerospace zones where the existing HT grade (1300 °C) reaches its limit.
Skogar® UHT — ceramic fiber substrate, rated up to 1700 °C, available in 4.5 and 6.5 mm semi-rigid sheets. The extreme-temperature grade for atmospheric re-entry shields, solid rocket propulsion zones, and the hottest exhaust sections on aerospace and defense platforms.
Both grades are UL94 V-0 and FAR 25.853 (Appendix F) certified — the same aerospace fire qualification that applies across the Skogar® range.
With VHT and UHT, the Skogar® family now covers thermal protection from −195 °C to +1700 °C in four grades: ST (glass fiber, rigid, from 0.5 mm), HT (preox fiber, flexible, FAR 25.853), VHT (silica fiber, semi-rigid, 1400 °C), and UHT (ceramic fiber, semi-rigid, 1700 °C).
